HOW IT WORKS

Phone Tips

A Crime Stoppers coordinator will answer the tip line and will fill out the tips information form, conduct initial inquiries, and then relay the information to an investigating officer. This phone doesn’t display the caller’s identification, nor does it record conversations. Calls are received for any publicly announced requests for information, such as the “Crime of the Week,” or for any other crimes known to the caller.

The Crime Stoppers program provides a positive environment for callers to provide information by ensuring their anonymity. Furthermore, the program offers cash rewards for information leading to arrests or indictments, which should encourage reluctant callers to come forward with information.

Online Web Tips

Tipsters are also able to provide us with tips online, which is an effective and efficient way of securely communicating with us while maintaining anonymity. Our WebTip system is powered by Anderson Software, the world’s leading online tip solution provider.

The unique Two-Way Dialog feature is integrated, allowing tipsters to add more information to their tip at any time. The feature also provides a secure platform for the coordinator to ask questions or provide reward information to the tipster through the same encrypted interface.

The App

Our free and secure mobile app now enables you to submit anonymous tips. You may search for “P3 Tips” in your App Store, or click on the relevant link below.
